ATEM5 — Engineering Before Speed
ATEM5 is a high-performance carbon wheelset developed around one principle: Engineering Before Speed. Designed for both road and gravel riding, it combines low weight, high impact resistance, wide tire compatibility and a hand-built construction focused on long-term performance.
Each rim is made from premium Torayca T800 carbon fiber using ATEM's Module Hole Process. The spoke bed is not drilled, helping create a lighter, stronger rim structure with improved impact resistance.
Before assembly, every rim undergoes multi-directional impact testing at 10 impact points. The UCI impact standard is 40 J; ATEM5 passes ATEM's own 95 J internal impact standard.
Every wheel is then hand-built by professional wheel builders using carbon spokes and the ATEM Precision Ratchet Hub. Spoke tension is individually balanced to maximize reliability, consistency and performance.
With a 55 mm rim depth, 25 mm internal width and 32 mm external width, ATEM5 is optimized for modern tires from 28 mm to 50 mm, making it suitable for fast road setups, all-road riding and gravel bikes.
