Princeton CarbonWorks Peak 4550 Evolution II
Light enough for the climbs. Versatile enough for every road. The Peak 4550 Evolution II combines Princeton CarbonWorks' variable-depth carbon rim profile with a lightweight, modern road-wheel design. It is built for riders who want one premium wheelset for mountain routes, fast group rides and long gran fondos.
What makes Evolution II different?
- 45–50 mm variable-depth rim profile balances aero ambition with a versatile all-road-racing character.
- 22 mm internal rim width and up to 32 mm external width accommodate modern road tyre setups; confirm compatibility with your selected tyres.
- 390 g quoted rim weight and a 1,200 g lightest quoted wheelset with Tactic Racing TR01 hubs. Actual complete wheelset weight depends on hub and configuration.
- Hooked, hole-less tubeless-ready rim bed designed for tubeless use without conventional spoke-hole rim tape. Always follow both tyre and rim pressure limits.
- Alpina Hyperlite spokes and premium hub choices.

Peak 4550 or Wake 6560?
Choose Peak when climbing and varied terrain are central to your riding. Consider the deeper Wake 6560 Evolution II if your focus is prolonged fast riding on open roads. The best option depends on tyre choice, average speed, route profile and your handling preferences. Comparisons should use matching hub configurations.
