BananaZ Performance Eyewear combines a large-format performance lens with lightweight cycling-focused coverage and a clean, understated frame. Choose the Photochromic lens for changing light conditions, or one of the fixed-tint performance lenses for bright riding conditions.

Designed for road cycling, racing, fast group rides, cross-country, training, gran fondos and everyday performance riding.

The fit can be fine-tuned with adjustable nose pads and adjustable temple tips, while antibacterial rubber contact points at the nose and temples help improve comfort and stability during long rides.

One lens. Changing conditions.

The BananaZ Photochromic lens reacts to UV exposure, becoming darker as sunlight increases and returning toward clear as UV levels decrease. That makes it particularly useful for rides that start early, finish late or move repeatedly between sun, cloud and shade.

Supplier-rated visible light transmission ranges from approximately 90% in the clear state to approximately 10% when fully activated, with actual performance depending on UV exposure, temperature and environmental conditions.

Lens technology

Polycarbonate (PC) lens material. On the Photochromic version, the photochromic technology is integrated into the lens material rather than applied as a surface coating.

Photochromic range: approximately 90% to 10% visible light transmission (approximately filter category S0 to S3), depending on UV exposure and environmental conditions. Measurements carry an approximate ±5% tolerance and vary with temperature and humidity.

Under UV exposure, noticeable darkening typically begins within approximately 30–60 seconds; full fading back toward clear can take approximately 2–10 minutes depending on conditions.

Testing

Tested in accordance with EN ISO 12312-1:2022/A11:2024 (sunglasses for general use), including UV transmittance testing. UV400 protection.
